The Hypnosis Motivation Institute was founded by hypnosis pioneer, Dr. John Kappas, in 1968. Dr. Kappas literally defined the profession of hypnotherapist with the Federal Dictionary of Occupational Titles in 1973. It was the first school of its kind to become a nationally accredited college of hypnotherapy by the US Department of Education.
